Save Your Stimulus Check

My advice on what to do with your stimulus check? Save it. I know that gas and food prices are high and rising, so if you’re going into debt to cover these basics, use it for that. But if you’re doing okay, save the windfall. Start a Roth IRA. Deposit it in a CD (check here for the best rates). Put it in a web-based savings account. Or, even, open a 529 for your kid’s college education.

Same goes for any tax rebate you might get.

Just don’t go out and waste it on an X-Box. It’s time to start being disciplined about your spending.
